Breakfast / Brunch Chef

We’re excited to be looking to recruit a talented breakfast/brunch chef to work with our rapidly growing team.

The Orchard Kitchen at Hayles Fruit Farm has fast become a brunch destination and due to this we are looking for an additional person to work alongside our current Head Chef/Pastry Chef. We believe it’s success is based on being a fresh food led kitchen using locally sourced produce where possible. 

We’re open 6 days a week 9am-5pm plus Friday evenings during the summer. No split shifts and only one evening a week. Average hours per week approximately 40.

The ideal candidate should:

· Be able to work within a small friendly team

· Have experience in a Commercial Kitchen

· Come up with new and exciting menu additions

· Maintain a high level of quality at all times

· Have the confidence to work solo at quieter times

· Understand and comply with food legislation

· Keep all kitchen areas clean & tidy

Front of House/Barista

We're on the lookout for a new Barista/Front of House as we expand our team at The Orchard Kitchen.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Taking client orders and receiving payment
• Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
• Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment
• Grinding and brewing coffee
• Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of coffee and educating clients and colleagues about these coffees
• Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented and tasty beverages

Previous experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential, a willingness to learn is more important. Due to our location own transport is essential. Full weekend availability is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: Variable - weekends a must! Over 18's only

Juice Room Operative

We're looking for a new team member to work within our juice production room making apple juice & cider throughout the winter months. This is full time contract between the months of September and January. Reporting to the juice room manager, you will be required to work with the pressing machinery & bottling line. A close attention to detail is a must. All necessary training will be given

Own transport is a must as we are in a rural location.

Job Types: Fixed term

Pay: £11.44 -£13.00 per hour depending on experience

Expected hours: 40 hours per week
